I really like the lighting changes in the Seeker of Fire mod, they got rid of the unnatural puke green lighting in various areas. You can take the lighting mod files and even play it with the vanilla game too, just take all the other files and folders out of the mod SeekerOfFire_2 folder except for the "filter" folder.

I'm convinced we never fight Havel in game, because I believe he dies before the events of DS1. We find Havel's corpse in Ash Lake, along with his Miracle "Great Magic Barrier" which he created to fight Seath. Havel was a warrior and a Bishop, a powerful "cleric". If we actually were to fight Havel, he'd never be fat-rolling and he'd be casting all kinds of Miracles in addition to his melee prowess. He is dead in DS1, having failed to revolt against the gods. I believe the Firstborn Son began a trend in abandoning Gwyn after Gwyn's obsession with preserving the Age of Fire became manic. The Firstborn, I believe, had a change of heart that led him to come to understand, appreciate, and respect the Dragons he had once fought. Recall also that even in DS1, joining the dragon's covenant allows you to take the form of a dragon-esque creature. Havel, I believe, slowly came around to following the Firstborn, particularly after Havel uncovered what Gwyn was allowing Seath to carry out. I tend to agree with many of the observations that were made by Hawkshaw in that Havel was a center player in a conspiracy to "kill the gods".

Hhholy shit this was the hardest fight in the game so far, by a lot. I lost count of how many times I died. I failed the fight several times even after summoning people so I just started rage-attempting it for practice. No embers or anything, just run in, play as good as I possiblly can, die in 15 seconds because I suck and repeat. It was pretty fun.I took a break, then when I came back I popped an Ember and summoned whoever I could find. This guy pretty much carried me with his magic, I really don't think I could've beaten this fight alone with the way I was playing. Sirrius also helped too, I guess.

Elden Ring's difficulty balancing is so weird. The regular enemies are so easy and drop so few runes that it constantly feels like I'm overleveled until I get to the bosses, then it suddenly feels like I'm underleveled.

i’m convinced that people who say magic is overpowered are just wrongusing a sword is so much more simple and flexible than magic, and a lot more effectivemaybe magic can excel in a couple of niche moments but the setup and timing and management of resources and weaknesses is just so much more to deal with than using a sword to hit peopleswords do just as much damage in a shorter time frame and don’t lock the player in place and can be used infinitely without running out of sword charges or sword manait’s crazy how easy it makes the game to just use a sword/hammer/polearm
