Bloodfiends are the worst enemy in a fromsoft game. Not because they're hard - they're really easy, even the cave gank with like 10 of them is easily manageable. Do note that ER is more memorization based than reaction based. Most of the enemies will fuck you up if you re-actively dodge or attack. Also, because of this, most bosses will always require hefty learning. The skills you learn in one boss are not necessarily transferable to another. In older games, it wasn't uncommon to start beating lategame bosses in three or less goes as the knowledge was more cumulative (git gud at one boss and you'll be pretty gud at all of them). This was especially true in Sekiro, for instance, where the final boss should literally take you no time if you've mastered reading and reacting to the Ashina fighting style a good half of all the enemies used.This is all assuming you don't make an absolutely busted build or strat that allows you to basically ignore the boss's moveset of course.

Think I've found a weird bug with the Shriek of Sorrow ash when it's in the offhandIf you activate it it will show weapons you have equipped but not in the selected hand as buffed. Once you toggle your main hand it will go away but then the other weapon you just switched from will show as buffed. This won't happen if the weapon with the ash is on the main hand, only the off hand. I discovered this by thinking that I could use the weapon until I was close to death, buff, then stack it with Rellana's Cameo. I guess since it counts as a weapon buff it only applies to that specific weapon but what confused me was the stat screen showing all my secondary weapons, even talismans as buffed. And before anyone says anything no I'm not toggling off the weapon that has the ash on it since that kills the buff entirely. Activating stance does technically put it away but when you return to normal the Shriek buff is still there so it's not getting overridden or anything. I'm just chalking it up to From jank but wondered if any anons had any input, maybe this is already known and they just don't care to fix it since it doesn't technically affect anything, outside of bugging out the stat display.

Replaying Demon's Souls while grieving from the awful DLC initially made me feel deeply nostalgic for the older games and only increased my despair, but after a while I started to appreciate Elden Ring more even with my knowledge of all that was lost in transition. Is anybody having stuttering issues on the current patch. Even fighting minor enemies is dropping fps by 4-5.

Also in melee your damage isn't going to compare to an actual melee build. they also typically have less poise damage but I don't think that matters since crits aren't really your goal. some spells have long wind ups so starting the cast needs to be timed to a proper opening. I still think it's a bit of an easy mode and I think that's intended because From has never bothered to change this trend.though i'm not sure about SOTE, the bosses have such insane gap closer punishment moves and such short breaks that most spells seem like suicide.
