Fortresses have a 100% chance of having a detector tower.
Not only can detector towers be countered by simply avoiding being sighted, they can be destroyed by stratagems.
It also isn't mandatory to destroy it to clear the base.

I pass d10 without deaths and have destroyed an absurd amount of detectors with ez stratagems. It's not the point. Even if you have the appropriate loadout, coming across an enemy or building that only certain players can eliminate feels like ass. Maybe I want to save that OPS or 500kg for something that is more of an immediate threat. Maybe they're both on cooldown and standing around to wait isn't my idea of a pastime. Maybe I wanted to bring one more blue/green stratagem instead of OPS but since the mandatory detector soft-cucked me out of my choice I get to have less fun. A thousand reasons why you shouldn't want things to be this way.

I don't think you understand how the game is designed.
They don't want you to kill BTs with every weapon, same applies to Gunships, etc. and no, they won't provide you with free stuff to kill everything all the time.
They don't want you to destroy certain obstacles with every loadout, they want you to approach the obstacle in a diffent way (run away, hide behind structures, etc.)

Having infinite supplies of hellbombs is overpowered.

Alexus is making changes without anyone's knowledge, contradicting posited design philosophies and confusing the CEO, CCO, and coworkers. He's CONTINUING to make these changes despite being told not to on multiple occasions, while also not buffing ANY of the 20+ completely unusable weapons, while also dropping garbage stratagems that nobody wants, and leaving them completely untouched for weeks/months.
How is any of this even being allowed by Sony? AH is fumbling one of the easiest bags in gaming history. They had GOTY, a sealed reputation, and a monthly income marked in the millions if they could've just held their end of things, but they CONTINUE to make braindead decisions without letting go of the people sandbagging the company.

Speaking as someone who's worked on the executive side of things, literally EVERY piece of news that's come out has been an incredibly large red flag. There's not been a single uplifting blogpost, piece of news, or AH insider message that's said anything but

Rocket launches should be completely shredding chargers.
AT mines should be weight-activated by the ton, not by 500 pound devs or 100 pound troopers.
SEAF anti air should be range-limited by the kilometers, not meters. The SPEAR too.
Enemies that break down INSTANTLY without heat sinks should be extremely vulnerable to fire, not immune to it.
The RG should be able to kill tanks and gun turrets MUCH faster, considering all they need to do is ~600 damage to a very small, specific area (which it is able to penetrate into).
The flamethrower, ESPECIALLY, just makes no sense. Flamethrowers in the 1940s were LEAGUES better than the one we have, and we have literally CENTURIES of progress and BILLIONS of fucking citizens who have an extremely strong incentive to make a good one. It's completely fucking illogical.

If he wants a milsim, he should fucking patch it to be one. Instead, we get "arcade philosophy, milsim nerfs" where things are designed to be balanced, and are then nerfed by the retarded laws of his nonsense reality. God, it's so fucking annoying. Look anon, HD2 was in development hell for years. Basically everyone except Pilestedt has left halfway through. And judging by the amount of bugs introduced in each patch, the new hires dont know jack shit about the code base.

Same happened with Darktide: the old guard has left and new hires cant do shit. After 1,5 years you still cant even roll a weapon with over 80% stats, as they havent even implemented all weapon tiers. They added like 3 maps. In the same time, the VT2 skeleton crew consisting of ~5 veterans pushed out two entire map packs, two new classes, new weapons, updated weapon skins from Weave gamemode to main game, revamped entire Weave gamemode and more.

While Swedens work laws may have some effect, its mostly just a company full of incompetents. VT2 team is swedish and they didnt have any issues keeping up.

It's probably hardcoded that hellbombs become available within an objective's "radius". The detector tower is an entity that isn't tied to the 'objective' in the fortress, so you can't get hellbombs. They could make it so you get hellbombs when you step in the fortress "radius", but probably don't want to do this as it's incongruent with the other outpost/base objectives where you have to bring grenades to kill the spawners.

The primary flamethower? I'm sure the damage is fine but that thin underperforms even against bugs. The cookout is actually quite solid since the fire tick damage is very good, a single pellet kills a basic bot at any range very fast from the burn and you can slam all your pellets into a devestators face plate at close range while staggering them.

However, each weapon also has a noise profile that can alert them regardless (distance based iirc). I've got a regular 3080 and that's about where mine sits, it absolutely eats up my CPU though. I can't play longer than like 2 hours or 3 with the AC before I have to stop and let my coolant shed some heat. The highest I got was 60C coolant temp but that dropped to ~50C after I dusted out the fans and radiator. In fairness however it doesn't help that my tower is in a really shitty spot for air flow because there's nowhere else for it.

I like running it for bots. Isn’t amazing against the new rocket striders but holds up on pretty much everything else. Stuns are more or less mandatory and shield pack really helps it since you have to expose yourself fairly long and it doesn’t do stagger or anything. Used to pair with PP for scout striders but those are extinct so now it’s sickle or dominator

On bugs I've been running:
Blitzer
Laser Cannon
Laser Rover
EAT/OPS

Consistently get the most kills every mission, it handles heavies decently up to D7 without needing help from team mates. You just have to lean into bug patrol clearing and bug breaches to get the most DPS. If there are too many heavies however you have to run away. The rover is a bit of a meme pick, could go with another orbital or eagle instead, I just like the aesthetics.

On bots I switch blitzer for the scythe and EAT for walking barrage. It's easier to snipe devastator heads with it than the cannon. Aim for head with laser cannon on beserkers, it melts their heads fast. Other strategems can be whatever.

Autocannon is safe. Arrowhead balances things via spreadsheets. And outside of /hdg/ lobbies AC users are actually a bit of a rarity. AC's pick rate should be well below things like AMR, HMG and LC. People really like their running reload and backpacks.

Alright. This build works in D10s: Torcher, Grenade Pistol, GDog, Quasar. Brood Commanders are a case of "burn + melee away + have GDog line up its headshots and kill it." Hive Guards die to grenade pistol, or M1 if you get behind them anyway. Spewers are the worst matchup, but grenade pistol can pop some of them at least. GDog absolutely minces chaff, and by the time it runs out of ammo you will normally have ressuply up so you've got near 100% uptime. If not, you hit up a PoI or an outpost that has ammo bricks, and if not even at that point GDog stratagem should have come off CD so you can just call in a new one for more ammo that way. People are sleeping on the ballistic doggo because of its downtime and ammo, but it kills shit in faster bursts than rover does while also in 95% of cases not inflicting FF damage.

This shit works for me every time. My bugs loadout pretty much guarantees I get 700+ kills whenever I play. The Carbine is usable enough and the bushwacker is an excellent CQB tool, especially when set to triple shot. Knives are of course a meme.

You need to be EXTREMELY aware of what's around you when you use it. Two rocket devastators can destroy it, killing you. One bruiser hulk can do the same. ONE rocket strider can kill you. You can get sniped by annihilator cannons from cannon towers, annihilator tanks, or factory striders. But when you can use it, it's used really well.

It's also notably impactful on the Spray&Pray, EAT/Commando, DCS, Slugger, and HMG/AC. It performs okay but could still use a lot of improvement.

1. The splash radius could use an improvement. It has a smaller radius than tossable grenades, which reduces its crowd control potential. Unless you're firing into a Bug Breach, you're not going to get that many kills per shot.

2. The accuracy sucks. The crosshair jumps all over the place even while standing still, making it hard to put grenades where you want them. This point is arguable since it's a fucking grenade launcher and accuracy isn't a major concern, but not being able to land long-range grenades forces you to get a lot closer to enemies to ensure a hit.

3. As everyone always complains, it doesn't have enough magazines. Two spare mags, ten grenades per mag, you have a maximum potential of 30 grenades. Theoretically 30 grenades lets you wreck a lot of shit, but each individual grenade never feels as effective as the ones you're able to toss, so one magazine doesn't go as far as one would expect. You're basically forced to bring a Supply Pack just to ensure this thing is useful.

PP armour lets you take slow firing/precision weapons and whip them from target to target
Recoil armour lets you stay on target more but you still need to wave your gun around. This can be circumvented by just stopping aiming then moving your entire helldiver in the right direction and spot.

I think i preferring PP more than Recoil BUT Recoil often comes with more grenades or explosion resist

I don't mind the cooldown. BTs are so rare now that the few which do show up immediately get showered in massive aoe and Spear missiles. If they survive that I can just AC spam them to death. Railcannon's best use on the bug side is against spore chargers. Nobody will complain if you instakill a brapper. On the bot side it trivializes barrager tanks because it circumvents their massive explosive resistance and lack of weakpoints. I miss it every time I skip it in favor of something lower CD.

Cluster bomb is good for d7 and below because it can clear a lot of chaff and can kill the scout striders. Eagle strafing run it decent on d8 and above because it can kill or at least weaken armored scout striders and other medium armored enemies. Plus I like the eagle strafing run when I play d10, because of the previous reason, that I get 5 of them, and I can call them in next to my teammates without worry. I got hit by a rocket one time and fumbled my strafing run pokeball while next to all my teammatea, and it didn't matter cause the strafe just went in a random direction and hit no one. At most it would have killed 1 person, unlike if I had the cluster bomb.

Interesting thing about Strafing Run: if the path connects directly across a dropship, that is to say it lines up with the 'bow' and 'stern', it can slice it in half. Plus if it hits zerkers during the drop animation it causes them to bug out and not move.

Every stratagem you named, with 5he exclusion of rocket pods which I hate reliability wise - requires at least some calldown time and aim. Railcannon on the other hand can be thrown at the rough vicinity of a tank or turret the moment you see it and it's dealt with. If you never feel the need to deal with an enemy instantaneously I guess you have no use for it.

Its far from instant and anyone playing d10 shouldnt struggle with "aiming" the big aoe bombs. 110s might be inconsistent but you get 3 of them letting you kill atleast 1 if not more heavies on a similair cooldown.

I'd rather wait the 2 seconds and get to use it more since the things I want to OPS or rail don't move. Tanks, detector tower (can you even rail strike that?), turrets, striders, fabricators sometimes.
The only thing to use it for would be purely turret deletion at range from the front because landing OPS directly on it is a skill issue.

Every game I join has people crashing out, and objectives not working. Last game is was the nuke drill not able to be called down.
Most people I've joined today are under level 50.
Don't think the game is better, but still fun enough. Wish they'd fix the bugs properly.

The stim sound bug is pain but worse is the sound of racking the bolt on a reload, switching, switching back and the bolt didnt rack so you need to do it again. I dont even know if its a bug or not but it infuriates me endlessly.

That just means its your free slot stratagem that you bring becouse you enjoy it. You could bring strafing or 380 in your free slot but that doesnt make them good.
