I am ENTIRELY positive they said in those summer games interviews that taking off mantles wasn't animation locked anymore and would just happen. It doesn't. If you don't sheathe your weapon and do absolutely nothing (in the demo, at least...) for a moment, it will not be removed automatically. I haven't seen anyone attempt to remove it with an input while unsheathed or anything, so maybe you can do it manually, but even then; if you actively use mantles, you're gonna be a trash bag man for half the game. This is retarded. Just make them fucking fall off by themselves. Extend the cooldowns a bit if that's what you're worried about. Just fuck, I can't stand how it looks.
