I will give them the credit of occasionally doing good stuff with the characters, but it usually only happens in random unimportant moments, like the little Acacia wave which was cute and the Yao interview.Perilous Snowpath overall got better with the character interaction but at the cost of being a deliberately confusing chapter, that kind of relied on the player rolling Tess / writing their own headcanon to fill in a lot of the blanks. Both of which I would consider a negative for a story.Chapter 12 I think was their best overall (especially part 2). They cut down on the excessive mystery from Perilous Snowpath and were written like a better version of 1-10 where text was a lot smoother without unnecessary wordslop but with the benefit of things actually feeling like they happen because of character motivation.Realm of Illusion had a lot less to talk about, but it was also an intro to a new arc with a brand new location and setting.Chapter 13 had the same problem of Perilous Snowpath IMO where they wanted to be really mysterious, and then they handwaved it all as titagenmagic at the end
