I think the reason rolling for arc units feels so unsatisfying at this point is that the general pool is still in a completely neglected state. A few years back it was fun rolling for master fairs because you could also pick up general pools you were missing along the way, but by now everyone should have every general pool at 5/5. I don't even get excited when the poryphone flashes anymore, it doesnt feel like "12% chance to get something cool" it just feels like "11% chance to get a worthless 5* powerup and 1% chance to get the only thing on the banner that matters".Honestly arc fairs should have pokefairs in the spook pool like the mix scout. Would at least justify the obscene 500 scout point increase and make rolling feel less shitty.

Have you ever noticed how Cynthia never gets any "casual" alts? Cynthia, as a character I feel is rarely touched upon at all by DeNA. There's not much work done into actually making her human. Even in the Mysterious Stones Arc, it was mostly just her fighting Volo. If anything, it was more character work for Volo than for Cynthia. Additionally, she never has any "regular" feeling alts. She's always this grand unbeatable champion, DeNA doesn't seem to care to humanize her at all. Steven got his summer outfit, so does N. In fact, a good example of a character that DeNA likes is N. N has appeared in various events and such, and he's always had Pokemon that make sense for him. He's usually in character and acts in ways that make sense to him. He even has one of the best events to his name, being the Ideal Formula (the only event with a unique "rewards obtained" jingle, being the ending theme of BW). We also learn a lot through his lodge story, about his fascination with ferris wheels and his constant curiosity. Cynthia doesn't have any of that. the most we've ever learnt from her is that she likes piano, she is almost never seen off-duty or doing something besides stopping the big bad or moving the plot along (just like in DP), and every outfit is always for a special occasion. Story arc sygna suit, Sinnoh arc sygna suit, Anniversary sygna suit, Anniversary arc suit... never something regular. Never just a special costume or a seasonal. It's always her doing something important, because that's all DeNA thinks they can do with her. Cynthia, how she is portrayed, NEEDS someone to represent evil/antagonism like Giovanni, Cyrus, or Volo to operate as a character well, so unless they start making her more interesting, she'll just be stuck like this, no casual alt in sight.

IMO PLA’s biggest failing was the incredibly dull and boring region. The shitty grassland, the shitty swamp, the square cultureless village, the tent kingdoms, the generic mountain, the Reddit llama (and tons of Sinnoh’s shitmon, probably the worst designs in the series), etc. If it had been in Hoenn, the glorious land of adventure with jungles, a volcano, the caldera, meteor falls where the dragon masters train, forgotten ruins deep beneath the sea, the creation of the Regitrio (sadly this was ruined in Sinnoh with Regigigas), the sheer power of the ecosystem on full display and a plot focused on the universally respected Mega Fug and the ancient Sootopalis people represented by a powerful champion who uses Land (Steven) AND Sea (Wallace) instead of a boring “twist” villain who everyone saw coming … well, that’d be a game with staying power.

We already got 3* from the previosu scout quite often, plus 4*/5*, orbs, and skip tickets too in a single day. With the new event points format you can't farm 3* tickets except from VA reruns so I don't see any advantage to being give 1 3* ticket a day over what we previously had.
