And I mean, like, literally strong women. Of the main six companions, the three female companion characters are the strong/tanky ones with the powerful melee attacks and the medium/heavy armor. Legit warriors. The men, meanwhile, tend towards classes that lean more on stealth or brains rather than brawn and are best kept away from the front lines.It's super different from how things normally go, and that's neat. Sure, having a Strong Female Character is the norm now, but I would have expected them to just have an obligatory female Paladin or Fighter or whichever melee class and call it a day, have the remaining ones be a rogue or ranger or sorcerer or something. But ALL THREE being front-line, scarred-up warriors? Wild.I also like that the two you start out with on the Mind Flayer ship(Lae'zel and Shadowheart) are both women.

A mature take and fix suggestion about the Shadowheart and Halsin issue, a bit long but worth it, hopefully.Hopefully this doesn’t get ignored solely by the nature of what I’m discussing, as I imagine you all are tired of constantly getting hounded with some people suggesting there’s a inserted/forced in cheating fetish in the game, but I’m not here to make that claim whatsoever. I am, however, just bringing up some inconsistencies and suggestions for improvements to hopefully satisfy pretty much everyone so that the community can move on from this absolutely cursed discussion.First things first; Halsins’ dialogue needs more flags. The flirty dialogue he has with companions (that usually include the player) if he has been rejected makes him seem creepy and as though he doesn’t understand that NO means NO. On top of that, remove the part where he asks to join with the drow twins and the players romanced companion in sharess caress if he’s been rejected previously. Because again, Halsin should know that NO means NO.Larian fixing this would help many players feel better about traveling with him as some players get uncomfortable with his constant advances. Especially players that might be uninterested in men completely, for instance I know a few lesbian women who detest Halsin’s attempts to hook up with the player or butt in with the players ongoing relationship.

Also removing the disapproval you get if you reject Halsin wanting to join the drow twin scene would be much better, as again romanced companions should respect boundaries such as that. (Especially how Astarion and Shadowheart have been abused in the past ((I’ll touch more on Shadowheart’s implied abuse later if you think I’ve lost my mind)) they especially should understand and respect the player not wanting to sleep with someone they aren’t attracted to.)Now onto some inconsistencies I’ve noticed and some changes that could be made. While this is a bit of a controversial topic, I ask you to bear with me here, and hear me out. Shadowheart being into poly in act 3 isn’t set up well, and could use some big improvements, in my opinion. For starters, when you get serious with her she will break up with you no matter what for romancing the other origin companions, even ones she personally finds attractive like Karlach or Astarion. She’s also not that into casual flings; she will not do anything intimate with the player unless she has been romanced, and after getting to act 3.If she was into casual flings, romancing her wouldn’t be a requirement for those scenes to occur. And this is why in my opinion, the poly/open relationship deal with Halsin and the Drow twins was poorly implemented, as it ignores previously established characterization, and wasn’t properly set up. This can be addressed, though, and here’s my (somewhat rough) proposed solution. Once the player reaches act 3 and has her romance scene, perhaps the player could initiate dialogue in the “I want to talk about our relationship” tree and inquire to Shadowheart if she’s ever thought about experimenting.

From here, the player could steer the direction of the relationship. If the player wants the open relationship/poly aspect, if they continue to ask Shadowheart about it but don’t pressure her into it, she says she will think about it and a couple days later or so she says she’s willing to try it if the player is up to it. However, if the player doesn’t want to engage with that at all, they could instead say they would rather keep everything between the two of them, which Shadowheart would agree to.This could possibly also be done last second if the player wants to back out of it after the former option when they speak to her again after those days are up, (or in camp even before?) with Shadowheart saying something like very well, and possibly lightly teasing the player for not being able to make up their mind.If the player goes through with it and if Halsin is romanced as well later, then the flirty exploration dialogue with him and her will play, and access to the drow scenes and Mizora scenes as normal will play. But if the player didn’t and instead chose the moon path, then does things with the drow twins or Mizora or whatever, she will be angry at the player for going back on their word and break up. This would provide good consequence in act 3 for being a ass to her, and makes sense as she is vulnerable and was just lied to and betrayed by the player. (This is especially more in character for a Selune Shadowheart, in my opinion.)Some more reasoning for it being a little inappropriate for Halsin to flirt with Shadowheart is that at that stage in the game, she’s in a vulnerable spot and is summoning the courage to face the cult that abused her (if she is on her Selune path, which most playthroughs do have her on) And if the dialogue in the scene where you romance Shadowheart and cheat with Mizora is to be believed, it says the Sharrans were basically encouraged to sleep/seduce one another.

This would pretty much make all parties happy without removing content from the game like some ask for, which was never a possibility, I think.What do you all think?
