Playing MH2 makes me realize how much we have lost in this new slop games for the average consumer with the patience of a woodpecker and the brain of a worm

The constant harassment from the small enemies, the audacity of the game to reduce my vision with vines

I think the only reason bow got that high was because of that novelty dragon piercer build and how it felt slightly like old bow. The real crime is how the damn thing is somehow second on usage in world. I think I hit full apathy for half of that playthrough.
As for SnS and CB, I am not a fan of how either play. SnS is just too short ranged for me and I've just never meshed with CB.

there are a good number of silly gathering quests that litter the game, not to mention trying to seperate worthwhile "yellow questmarkers" and ones that give you the same garbage over and over. It can be overwhelming especially trying to figure it out on your own, but you got people here to help guide you down the right direction.
You'll definitely enjoy GU, just gotta pace yourself and not try to tackle everything at once. You have my word.

Same here. Going through village and while I'm really enjoying the game, I have my own issues with some of the jank.
For one, the right analog stick camera movement is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo slow compared to 5th gen games.
It makes fights like Brachydios a nightmare, since he LOVES to reposition, backstep and sidestep all over the place, so keeping track of him can be a pain in the ass.
