I actually liked cold war a lot, but vanguard, mwII, and mwIII were kind of lame in retrospect and I don't feel like being a sucker buying them every year if they've been bad recently.But the other part of me says it's treyarch and the last treyarch game I actually did like.I know it's on gamepass but you end up paying more for it over time if you stay subscribed for a year so that's not as good a deal as people think, unless you play the other gamepass library games which I already own the ones I want so I don't benefit in that way.I think my main problem is that I like the fundamental arcade shooter gameplay, but they keep doing lame things like only 30 tick rate servers, dumb cosmetics that reduce visual clarity, skins are way overpriced, and you still have stuff like spawning behind someone/people spawning behind you. As I said Domination especially gives way more predictable spawns for nukefaggots. A lot of Nukefaggots won't want to play TDM as they don't want a retarded revenge spawn to kill them when theyre 2/3rds of the way to a Nuke whereas in Domination they have a better idea of where enemy will spawn due to how spawns work in Domination.As far as loadout restrictions go I understand (somewhat) why people don't like Ranked due to restrictions, but I'm personally not bothered. I just adapt to whatever the meta is as thats part of the Ranked experience to homogenize playstyles almost to the point of having zero difference amongst the players meaning everyone is pretty much equal for loadout. I personally find it very rewarding to play as it's one of the only game-modes I can play as a Solo player and have people on my team who want to win (by playing OBJ) and actively comm'ing with call-outs and generally attempting to play as a cohesive team.

But as I and a the other handful of Anons mentioned thats just how COD players are. Wins are ultimately pretty meaningless so that just leaves kills for bragging rights. So everything devolves into how many kills you can get. The only way to consistently get teammates who care about winning is Ranked. For regular MP you can make it a personal-challenge to have a good Win-Rate while trying to get a good KD-ratio.Also don't forget that a large portion of players are also single-focused on Camos which can also be a reason that no one is bothering to do OBJ in your games. When you have to get something like X number of Longshots people will go to something like Hardpoint because they think "the third Hardpoint on XYZ map has a really good sightline thats perfect for longshots. So they end up playing a specific game mode because it helps them achieve whatever goal in a camo-grind and are another type of player who has zero desire to actually win.
