My problem with "everything is frequencies" is that you need to build some framework of consistency to a story. Currently it's the sci-fi equivalent of "a wizard did it", for example death seems to be a pretty big deal because even if humans and souls are frequencies you can't just vibrate them into being alive again. It took Jue using time powers to ressurect Jinhsi.But now apparently we can keep human souls somehow alive in eternal torment to power a server. Why was it hard to do?I think this is why a lot of people argue about Rover being a mary sue, Rover does things but we don't know how amazing those things really are - why aren't other characters doing things, what limits them and how.
