Their peril meter doesnt slow them down when it gets too high, it doesn't hurt them at all to vent it, no matter how high it is, and the big thing is that Perils have a stopgap safety mechanic which means you can't accidentally blow yourself up unless you willingly cast something at 100% peril, and even THEN if you are using Venting Shriek you can cancel the explosion if it's ever about to happen

I played Warrior Priest saltz in chaos wastes tonight. WP was a lot more fun than I remember him being.I wish that shopclick has a "chaos wastes" mode, but I think that fatshark shot themselves in the foot with their blessing design for CW to work for shopclick. There's too much variance between a vanilla weapon and a weapon with the correct blessings in shopclick. In ratclick swift slaying was preferable 90% of the time, but weapons functioned just fine without it. But in shopclick there's a huge difference between the vanilla weapon and how it performs with the +9000% power blessings that are assumed to be equipped and active. I think that they'd have to let us bring our own gear into a shopclick wastes, but that would strip away lot of the fun.
