Earthbound's control scheme and menus are really weird at first if you're expecting them to be like Undertale's. Doom is very little like modern first person shooters, but if you play Quake and Half-Life you can kinda see the progression. Soulsbornes share a lot in common with old 3d Zelda games (and maybe also the new ones but I haven't played them yet).
