The kind of emotional feeling-based stuff that even he as a guy would distance himself from, she is loud and proud about it. Because she pretty much is and represents "his Heart". Because his heart is also her heart, and that heart is the source of her power and personality, and it's all because of what he was able to do for her that changed her forever when she needed it most. But as a result, her very aura is constantly oversaturated with endless amounts of positive energy that is so intense, it can feel like you're drugged out just being near her. And Energy, having energy-absorption abilities and the one most linked to her heart, is highly sensitive to it. So, to keep his cool and not get overwhelmed by her, it's better to keep his distance. All of this is basically how I handle my own equivalent to "Sonic & Amy".
