After playing ground sim for a bit I really wish that RB used the vehicles' actual sight placement instead of magic barrel cam. Seeing your gun off to the side looks much cooler and it makes close range engagements much more interesting because it's incredibly difficult to tell where exactly your shot is going to go so people can't just instantly pinpoint tiny weakspots, barrels, and so on.

You have two r73's which are free kills if you don't fire them head on. You have two R60M's that will work well for people unawares. You have loads of ammo and high calibur rounds to ground pound when it's safe and to kill anyone stupid enough to head on you. And you have more flares than you could possibly need. I used to use the Mig-23 but it's pretty bad now. I would say though that either the US or UK Phantoms are the best premiums in game for both grinding and SL farming due to their flexibility (can go and bomb but also fight air to air and ground pound with the same loadout) but that's just me.

>>498827206Just realized I didn't answer the question of how you avoid modern missiles, basically you throw yours as far away as possible, guide it until it can guide itself and go cold while descending to gain some energy, success comes from the energy of your missiles and how early your radar detected the enemy. If you're flying low, are too close or if your missile is worse than the one of your enemy, you're dead.
