And Dan Shu doesn't address the trailblazer, ignores the entire choice that 1.0 ended on, and TB isn't giving any dialogue options. Hell, the entire question whether she is still blind or not isn't even addressed, the only reference to that massive part of her story being that the model has a blindfold on. So hope you can understand why people got pissed at that, and why people are saying the story got retconned in 1.2. For those of you that don't play genshin, they've been using a dirty little trick with their artifact sets for a while now where each expac has a specific mechanic that only characters from that expac have. Then, they release artifacts that only work with that mechanic. Bond of Life for Fontaine, Nightsoul Blessing for Natlan. The actual effects can be perfectly identical but as long as they have the name specific to their region then they can introduce artifacts that objectively powercreep previous relics (such as Cinder City) but because they require the limited regional mechanic, they can't be brought backwards or forwards to characters from different regions, effectively allow them to develop new powercreep without having to even test if the powercreep becomes too strong when paired with old characters.I expect something of this variety to be implimented in HSR. Super Break may end up being Penacony-era exclusive, with Aglaiea being the Summon-era.

Once you give a major mechanic break, you can't take it back especially in a gacha game. SW was, at the time of her release, considered to be overpowered but now she's shit because the entire game has speedran the meta shifts.Seriously take like 5 seconds to think about what mechanic they could possibly add to characters released in the future and realize there simply aren't any. They'd have to add "phases" to shield breaks themselves to stem Superbreak and prevent complete oneshots via arbitrary health/shield bar stopgapping. In other words, "phases" but for a single health bar. Just so you're forced to at least see a mechanic before you blow past with endless fua or supebreak oneshots. This sort of mechanic is something you see years later in a turn based game.
