For now, being a Masked Fool is more beneficial to Vita, but she can also easily leave the group later for whatever reason. Thinking this is ruining her character shows a pretty shallow understanding of Vita imo. In Part 1.5, she was happy the girls didn't die, but if their deaths were necessary to get rid of Sa, she wouldn't have thought twice about it. Vita has a very pragmatic mindset if anything.

Basically everything to do with Coralie and Helia could be cut without a huge loss to the story. Dang, the yearly summary made me realize it's been 8 months since part 2 has started and it feels like jack fucking shit has happened. I know they kind of lost steam after they finished part 1 and they've pretty much abandoned this game in favor of their other ones at this point, but seriously, how do you do so little with the story in EIGHT FUCKING MONTHS? It's genuinely crazy that there are still enough people playing this game that they haven't shut it down, what is even keeping people compelled to play it at this point? I guess it just goes to show that it's probably not that expensive to keep a game's servers running even when you don't have much content for it. When I see other gacha games shut down I think it's less that they aren't making enough money to keep it up and more that they aren't making money FAST enough and they're greedy so they'd rather just shut it down entirely. So maybe it's to Hoyo's benefit that they have all those other mega successful games, maybe they're not even thinking about profits because they have so much money that this game's income doesn't matter to them.
