I have finally had enough time to sit down and play through the story dungeon. I will proceed with the review. The third part didn't need to be a dungeon as the previous Canto showed us, and as the case with all story dungeons it felt obviously rushed. As always with the story dungeons there is a conveniently place L Corp branch facility that begs the question of how exactly it was put there. Fodder fights are unremarkable and subsequently expelled from my memory. Hex Nail was just as unremarkable. Rose Hunter was a forgettable breeze, that in hindsight would have been much more difficult had I failed the skill check in the previous node. 400 Roses didn't appear at all and it's minions were disappointing in their simplicity and annoying in their passives. Fixer duo after them were a bigger disappointment. Plot threads and seasonal ID slots utterly wasted for cheap shock factor. The Bloodfiend trio was passable as a fight, but as characters only stand out in their design. Sancho fight was an overall disappointment in handling of bosses SP as a trend, how much cutscenes interrupt the flow of the battle and how it was ultimately resolved. The so called family speech was completely immersion breaking and akin to a Saturday morning cartoon or a show that-must-not-be-named, lest I violate global rule 15. It has no place in the setting as it was presented to us. The Dream is question is vague at best and I have a hard time grasping it's concept. The only bright spot in this red sea of disappointment was the final clash and only for its visual spectacle. With each Canto released my suspicion that Mili has some damning blackmail on Director continues to increase. As a character Don Quixote (Sancho) was liable to receive the biggest shift in character in her Canto yet de facto returned to status quo*. Overall score 4/10.
