My schizo theory is that Torotoro planned a completely different conclusion that would lead to a sequel, but ended up getting so burnt out from working on this one game for a decade that he rewrote most of it to close the narrative. Chaos is cute at least, so it's not all bad.

On Very Easy my party is easily dishing out billions of damage per round, and it still take 4-5 rounds to kill trash. Couple more points I want to add.1. I'm really trying to explore as much of Chaos World as I can, to find equipment to scale up my party so I can comfortably clear trash in 1-2 rounds. And while I've found some upgrades, they're nowhere near enough to get me to that point. Currently leveling is slow for me, but the power gain from levels is minimal, so I'm pretty much fucking stuck where I'm at. I cannot IMAGINE trying to do Chaos Route on Normal.2. I've reached the point where everytime I enter a battle, I'm casually mashing the confirm button while watching Youtube on my other monitor, until I hear the victory theme. That's how bored I am.

And don't get me started on how often you end up bound and threatened with instant loss with little to no indication as to whether or not you're supposed to attack or struggle to avoid losing.I mean, I liked it when the game actually gave you the choice on how to go through the fight, but a bit too many enemies required a bit too precise of a tactic to beat. I'll give the VN credit, though, at least it stays challenging since you can't rely on grinding like in Paradox.
