Worst: I would probably say canto 2. There is a very superficial adaption of plot points from Crime & Punishment to create Rodya's backstory, but the real core of the book is the question of morality the murder, its circumstances and what punishment would be "just" and that aspect is pretty much completely absent from the canto. And on a more personal note, I also dislike the way canto 6 handles the romance, but people have disagreed with me on that. I think the canto does a terrible job of establishing why Heathcliff and Cathy even like each other and, perhaps more importalty, why their romance is doomed. If you only play LC, you probably walk away from the canto thinking what the big deal is for either of them, why they go to such absurd lengths for what is portrayed as a pretty bland romance.
