In Cream's case, the Advance, Heroes and Battle games portray her as ... just a Girl Tails, more or less. It's only with the context of Vanilla, and certain recent appearances, that her being someone who has to be protected comes up. And even then, both Sonic Channel and Dream Team portray it as just another version of Tails' Sonic Adventure arc. The young kid has to prove themselves as strong and capable on their own and stuff. Cream is just Girl Tails.

Tails & Cream are both "Kid" characters at their core. Tails is the male "Kid", and Cream is the female "Kid". The Kid Brother and the Kid Sister. Kid Sonic & Kid Amy. Kid Sonic gets to do cool things and be accepted by the older ones, because he's a boy and boys are expected to be strong. Kid Amy has to assert herself more to do cool things and isn't so easily accepted, because she's a girl and girls are expected to be nice, polite and look cute.

Omega is always treated with just enough respect that you know they know he's supposed to be the strongest, but they don't want to actually make him relevant so they write around him. Forces purposely incapacitates him with Sonic and Shadow before the story starts and gives him a moment near the end but he doesn't really do anything after that. Shadow Gens acknowledges how he's Eggman's greatest creation and he muses about destroying Metal or Sonic but he never actually does anything in the game.

She would have a cocky but composed personality, doing reckless things in a graceful way, but surprising you with bursts or incredible ruthlessness. She's torn between loving him and hating him, and her confused feelings for him lead her to want to brush him off, but her voice softens and her tail swishes anxiously when they're together. She's see him in a light that Surge alone cannot, encouraging him to be his strongest self, and feeling very motherly toward him.Her power would be a new state of matter called thermo-electro-plasma, or maybe something like lightfire. Controlled heat wave and flame together fused together with a controlled supercharged lightning bolt, as fused together into one as Blaze and Surge when they become Blitz.On its own, Blaze's fire can vary widely in power depending on how intense she wants it to be, representative of how she's a very disciplined character. Blaze's flame could anywhere from a candle, to a welding torch, or possibly a star. It ranges a lot.But Surge is out of control. Lightning is a lot stronger than fire, hotter than the surface of the sun producing more energy. But electricity effects people differently than normal heat and flame. Surge's lighting is all the same incredible stength and it only varies by how much or how prolonged she uses it.Blitz's thermo-electro-plasma would be far more intense and brilliant than lightning, a single bolt would be lethal and blinding. A prolonged burn-shock may even be strong enough to surpass Super Sonic's nigh-invulnerability. Or at the very least be enough to keep him knocked away from her.As for what she'd actually look like, I'm not sure, but it should be mythical.
