If you're like me, and you don't want to make a beeline to building your own village and trading your way to mending lickity split, there is a new(ish) meta: collecting gold (and very rarely: iron) armor/tools with mending from ruined nether portals and mob drops. Gold is crap compared to diamond, but with mending it will never break on you, and it has much higher enchantability than diamond (so does iron), so you can pack on the enchantments willy nilly. You can then slowly replace your gold/iron gear with diamond as you find mending books/treasure, like god intended.

Update idea: functional templesBasically there are gods in the game like the ones from Legends or whatever, and if you build a shrine/temple with certain blocks and patterns a specific god will appear there and give you blessings (loot, enchants, effects, etc). The bigger it is with more blocks and patterns, the stronger the blessings

Dumb question from a redstone noob, but I ran into something I need an explanation for. So I was fucking around making a tripwire trap that would set off a copper bulb, through a comparator and up some slabs to a trapdoor because I wanted something where after the tripwire is activated, the trapdoor would open and stay open. I disconnected it in the picture, but it works.So anyway, I don't even remember why I threw a torch down, but I made a little clock, and when walking through the tripwire to turn the bulb off, it turns on and repeats for a bit. My question is, with the repeater at the fastest tick setting, the torch will burn out pretty quickly and the clock will shut off, but after 10 seconds or so it will start back up and repeat the same thing over and over. Same timing every time as well. Why is this? There doesn't seem to be anything affecting the torch at all when everything is shut off.
