I have well over 10,000 hours in Archeage (15-20 maybe), I played both at the very start, mid and at the very end (the last 5 years before shutdown).

I've played all 3 private servers, hosted my own private server with AAEmu and to this day continue to write addons for ArcheRage; I do both PvP and PvE at the "highest level" (#1 guild on both official and private server).

The reason I'm cloutposting is to put some power behind my message,
Kakao will never, ever EVER make this game good. TRION ran it like a bunch of greedy idiots. Gamigo took over and ran it as a short-sighted greedy megacorporation.
But Kakao? KakaoGames did their absolute best to gut this game from everything that was left of it. Every class was turned into janky shit, every piece of content that was enjoyable was turned into shit. Every patch that was done after Kakao's takeover of XLGames has been such mega hot trash that the game died at unprecedented speeds.

Archeage 2 will never be good; look at what they make now. They make ArcheWorld and other transparent scam games for NFT FOMObros to pump their money into. Archeage 1 was a game with a mountain of potential that was never truly realised, but Archeage 2 does not even have 5% of the potential and they are already gutting it to shit. It's a BDO/DS clone with Archeage's story/graphics, abusing Archeage's name to ride the hype wave and get stupid niggers to buy in.

Don't waste your time on anything Archeage. It will be a clone of another game built for nothing but to pump money with the Archeage logo and some vague lore tacked onto it. Abandon XLGames, abandon KakaoGames.

What does this mean? I know you should level and fully trait a blue so you get "blessings" for your purple item. But what does leveling to 7.4 mean? And you can level an item first, then transfer something onto it for the last few levels to be free? Thats a thing?

greens into blues aren't gig aimportant, but maxed blues helps because you can do 9 traits for 90 lucent and feed it into your epic; which will give you enough blessing for 2 and some traits

if those 2 and some traits for example on a ring are 300 a piece then getting two for 90+blue cost (probably 10% of hte purple one so 30 here) would means you're paying 45+30 for a 300 lucent trait, quite a lot cheaper
also blue growthstones are cheaper than purple so feeding 1>9 blue is cheaper than the amount it would take you to get 1>6 purple (which is how much you get by feeding it)
