Kasballica is the easiest, there's a colony project on Dargonus that gives 20k rep, so I never even traded shit to them until that was finished, which was the start of act 4. Navy was the easiest as they have a unique loot list so I traded with them freely and didn't really take any colony projects for them.Explorators and Drusians were the hardest. I had to scrape for every little bit of Explorator rep since they both take Holy Gifts as their 500 rep value loot.Fellowship and Kasballica were pretty easy. I got most of the Kas rep with colony projects and Comorragh leaves you with a shit load of xeno artifacts which I used to max the Fellowship.I hoarded everything until act 4, doing almost no trading in act 2 and traded away even named and unique gear that I knew I was never going to use.
I really like Devil. I didn't know they were so much fun. I wish it was better integrated into the story.
One thing that irks me about owlcat games is how late you get some party members. Isn’t it basic writing class that the principal characters ought to be established in act 1?

Some of them are just recruited stupidly late as you said, but even then the way companion quests work is weird. Some of them just trigger randomly as you move the map, or they get nothing for a whole act and their quests only trigger later. I think it's an effort to make it feel less formulaic and that their problems are more emergent.

Nah, especially since they also change plotpoints to better accommodate videogames, like in Kingmaker the main antagonist is introduced far earlier and more active. But I think the pacing of companions falls through the cracks when they're making the games, probably since the Day 1 design document when they're looking at reference materials puts where Arushalae or whatever comes in.

Lae'zel comes close, the rest range from boring to cringe. The way of talking and thought process of characters imo doesn't fit fantasy at all and seems reddit tier. The AI is braindead and game becomes super easy after midgame: playing on tactician and not cheesing with stealth barrel stacking and pushing/throwing, not even playing optimized builds only guy that is multiclassed is Astarion thief ranger cause I wanted bonus bonus action but also extra attack. Romance and sex are overrated, Witcher had more romance and sex than this, idk why people spam that it's "a dating simulator" or "most erotic rpg", idc about coomerism in vidya btw. There is some progressive politics shoe horned, but you aren't forced to agree with them IC. Builds arevery simple compared to other CRPGs, but that's due to 5E, the stuff they did include is done well. The best part about the game is freedom you can kill anyone - you are not forced into taking some paths 90% of the time, very little railroading. Seems like it has good replay value. The visuals and world enviroment design are great, music is solid. Gameplay is fun despite what I mentioned above, I'll check if there are mods that fix up AI and difficulty for 2nd run.

You'll tend to get random loot/locked containers regularly in NWN though since it's built to offer random loot for the most part, but you can also bash open most containers (Power attack is a godsend for opening shit) if you haven't got someone who can pick itAnother option would be Siege of Shadowdale/Crimson Tides of Tethyr/Tyrants of the Moonsea. All of those tie together acceptably (You could optionally replace Shadowdale with Darkness over Daggerford) and they're fun easygoing modules and the easygoing part should mean you'll be alright with most classes. One area they're unbalanced is you'll absolutely rape them if you understand abusing merchants in NWN since Tethyr in particular will let you go hog wild but they're all good if you've already played SoU and HotU and/or don't want to play them for some reason (Which I'd recommend playing them anyway)
