If you see the "3 day duration" for the character events pop up after you clear chapter 2 and the event tab opens up, it just means you have 3 days to get bonus tokens, as an incentive to clear it early instead of putting it off. Character events are permanent.Otherwise you'll spend LP doing Event Flashback Battles to farm event currency to purchase stuff from their respective event store.
