A few thoughts I had earlier on Muv-Luv / Kiminozo continuity: I haven't reached this point in my reread of Extra (I think it's in Chizuru's route) but I recall there being a point at which someone asks Akane if there's a guy that she likes and she says there was a person like that once (Takayuki). This would indicate that Extra does not take place in the same timeline as Akane's route from Kiminozo. I think the writers felt the need to specify this because Sumika destroys the Extra timelines later on, which would mean that if this were taking place in the timeline of Akane's route from Kiminozo, then Akane's route would have been destroyed canonically, and I think they wanted to avoid that. Since Akane is the only Kiminozo character who actually shows up in Extra that's the only route they needed to specify anything about.Moving on, I thought about the continuity regarding the final ending in Alternative, in the improved Extra universe. During the shots of the city before the credits play you can see Mitsuki and Haruka walking together, showing that they are still friends. The only route in Kiminozo where you see anything like this happen is Akane's route, since Takayuki dumps both of them for Akane. That doesn't mean much, though. I thought it would be nice if the improved Extra universe took place in continuity with the alternate version of Chapter 1 from Kiminozo, since the endings there are happier and include Mitsuki and Haruka still being friends normally even if you choose one of them over the other. I don't have any basis for that but I feel like it would fit what's going on at the end of MLA.
