I'm getting derailed again, though, but the point is that more often than not you're just building items for their unique passives/actives than you are for the stats and all it takes is one glance to realize that assassin items have no utility to them whatsoever. Profane was really the only one and now it's been made useless too because bruisers (Aatrox, lethality J4, lethality Vi) were abusing it.Like, really, marksmen get massive spikes with all of their components being great to build (stacking BF Swords, but it's not even just that - Vamp. Scepter, Hearthbound Axe and Zeal come to mind) and their items just being generally on the cheaper side. Bruisers get INCREDIBLE utility on top of the items with the best stats in the game, which is still insane to me - 450 HP Shojin and 400 HP Sterak's when you're not even building either of those items for the HP come to mind, and so on and so on. Assassins really only have Volt for utility and even that one is on the chopping block now, again not because of assassins but now because of Ambessa. Pretty much every single comparison you can make between the classes makes it clear that assassins just get the shit end of the stick every time. Opportunity should be reworked and made useful.

He might even have the title of the best aged champion in the game, period. No reworks or major changes necessary throughout such a massive lifespan - it's pretty impressive.
