I just finished a Ghorst long campaign on legendary after not playing for a long time.I like how easier it is to get vassals now, by the end I had Druthu, Queek, Grom and a minor chorf faction as vassals, all actually helping me out.Reikland was a pushover except for Franz's army, meanwhile Kislev was by far the hardest enemy of the whole campaign.Aside form the fact that they had 6 armies huddled around their capital waiting for me to declare war on them, I had a hard time fighting them manually too.Is it a skill issue on my part or are Vcounts terrible against them? I think what gave me the most trouble were the little groms, they don't stop firing at other targets even when engaged in melee and in the meantime their myriads of archers keep shooting whatever you sent to attack them while my infantry got stuck on their bears and sleds.

He has 3 now though and I think I'll keep 3. I also like to use spawnify on vassal armies, too, typically just once per vassal just to give them a boost. I highly recommend doing a monster/forsaken/spawn Vilitch campaign. It's what I always do for him now and I think this is my 5th campaign with him. I'll be using Archaon to get the Aekold mission done (chaos warriors). But having some trolls with spawn and with forsaken is very nice. Spawn sorta protect Forsaken to a degree and sunder armour, and trolls with regen and shit leadership means they can take a beating for a while, retreat without you commanding them to, so then they heal back up.

pretty much every major battle this campaign was an autoresolve loss but i still pulled it out with my trash runner spam. basically i kite the first half of the battle and then i use them to run down the crossbows and surround the jade warriors, at which point of them die and run away leaving the heroes, and then usually some survivors come back at the end to save the heroes and win the battle and then most of my army survives since skaven are so good at running away.was funny and effective. been a fun-cute campaign so far. diplomacy has been perfect so far, kept peace on all my borders and was able to fight one faction at a time so far.

Started a Golden Order campaign in Warhammer 2 yesterday. Can't recruit any artillery for Gelt yet. I don't have any missile units aside from pistoliers either. Gelt's army is just 1 mortar, his starting greatsword and swordsmen unit, and the rest of his army is just basic spearmen and pistoliers. Never really bothered much with pistoliers before, they've been useful for whittling the enemy down and even more useful at distracting the enemy and stopping them swarming my spearmen lines, allowing me to pick apart their units bit by bit. I've already wiped out Vlad's faction by turn 20 or so and it only took about 4 turns. I was honestly expecting the war with Vlad to take a lot longer and to be much more more difficult.Kind of want some of the mountain provinces but I hate the bullshit of moving through mountainous terrain with a faction with no underway ability, plus it feels wrong to attack the Dwarfs.

A lot of the new items they've introduced add ammo (either directly or via some skill/passive). Are there any heroes or lords (legendary or generic) that reliably run low on ammo? It feels so gimped to play some of the older factions, I tried Morathi for the first time in 3 and Ostank the hag deletes the DE minor you start next to very quickly so it's not even turn 15 and I'm at war with Ostank.I had darksharts and then shades + Morathi carrying me but it was a real struggle. I don't know how Ostank's mechanic works but it's not even turn 20 and she can disable half of my army with insane debuffs while turning hers into superhumans and she gets to spam Lore of Beasts shit with multiple wizards, pain.Having the Sisters declare right after isn't much of a relief either.
