>>503115059Yeah, Kunitsugami's marketing was horrendous. These days, regardless of whether you're AAA, AA or indie, you just can't market your game enough. Like, recently, some indie awards ceremony announced their picks for the indie games of the year, and even though I've always made sure to keep a close eye on the indie scene, I hadn't heard of so many of the named nominees. When I looked up some of the titles on Steam, I noticed they had tons of glowing reviews, so it clearly wasn't just a case of an awards ceremony shilling their friends. These were actually good games that fell under the radar due to a lack of marketing. And on the more AAA side of things, Rise of the Ronin is my non-indie game of the year, and it had arguably one of the most nonexistent marketing campaigns of any AAA game I've played, which would explain why it was a commercial flop.
