Funnily enough, at -OD it doesn't attack at all, at 3 you get instant killed. Plenty of enemies also reduce your OD with certain attacks.Then there are obviously also the modifiers you have to work around. Sometimes certain classes can only use their abilities up to twice (you could call this a soft ban), sometimes certain resistances are added. Sometimes you get -5sp every 5 turns, sometimes you can't swap your party at certain turns. The list goes on. You won't do anything about having to buff up, debuff the boss and kill in a big burst, that's the only way to deal damage here. But you need to get there. And what the enemies do to stop you is about as varied as it could probably be reasonably speaking. Probably the worst I fought once was a boss with a debuff that would instantly cause you to break on ANY damage taken, INCLUDING DOTS (which it also had). Holy crap. AOI

(don't, unless you love Ruka x Yukki) There's also a second thing, which is the big hit buff. Only very few have this available and one stack of this is better than 2 stacks (cap) of the normal one. Several damage dealers get this one for absolute free on their ex attacks, and in contrast to mind eye, not having two stacks isn't a problem because this one stack is already powerful enough.So yeah, it's a bit complicated, but the general gist is that very commonly using a hit buffer is a damage loss if you simply can not use one with a self hit buffing dps. The same can't be said about mind eye. For now. So, for now, any char with a self hit buff is busted, doubly so if it's a big one, and once more so if it's a blaster. (Adel says hi) This will remain for a while.

To be honest, if you have both SS1 and SS2 Megumi, and you don't really use SS2 ult for damage, I think SS1 is a better base to use as a debuff bot. She has INT-based stat spread and not DEX-based like SS2 and most debuffers in the game, and if you get spooked by her multiple times, her LB3 passive is super comfy to play, as the other anon said.

There's no pity in Another Eden, and you can get spooked by any character on any new debut banner. This worked pretty well for me while I was playing Another Eden, and I was able to get all of the meta characters this way, magically. This game is slightly different, and you do not have the luxury of being able to unlock new style for characters that you already have (in AE, you could farm out materials to upgrade an old SS into their newly released SS version), but I'm probably going to save for Yunyun since she's apparently meta, and then after that I'm probably just going to do the same thing that I did in Another Eden, where I save up no currency and just roll everything on any banner that's even remotely interesting. The pity in this game appears to be prohibitively expensive, and I'd rather get new units occasionally than save up 6 months to get one unit.
