He accepts that this stuff just happens and he accepts the Powder in front of him for who she is and falls in love with her because of that acceptance, and when he goes back to the main world the reason he's understanding of Jinx and is able to talk to her properly is because of that revelation, he knows that Jinx ended up who she is because of a set of consequences, not because she's evil incarnate or something. And even the "less than one month" thing doesn't make sense, from the montage and dialogue it comes off as if Ekko spent at least half a year if not more there.
