The last few years has been "Sonic is back!" but it's the same old formula they've been refining since Secret Rings and '06 mach speed sections. I'm kinda sick of it desu. They need a really killer concept to convince me to buy another game. Open-zone helps and the gemplay is fun, but the but the gameplay loop in Frontiers was dogshit.I wish open-zone was more like platformers from the N64/ PSX era with smaller intricately crafted zones with specific aesthetics and set-pieces. DK64 and Spyro come to mind.

Got back from the movie. Have little to say other than I liked it. The crowd cheered when pinky showed up. I love Amy but I don't think she'll create the same kind of hype and storyline possibilities that Shadow did. I wonder what they'll do for the next one.
