Expertise means you can play pretty much any physical weapon build you want (I recommend taking warrior as secondary at the start for this reason) and pets are neat though not exceptionally powerful. The recharging teleport to friend seems kind of worth it. Metas are listed on the LFG 99.5% of the time and you can just teleport straight there from anywhere. No map scrolling, no waypoint fees, no moving to the event in the map. 350g of gems is pretty steep though...

There's so many things in this game that are like "This is kinda cool... but also lame". For example speaking of legendaries, the HMS Divinity. The projectile looks fuggin sweet, it's a big fiery red streaking cannonball (well, actually it's like 1998 tier particle effects, but still looks nice). But the whole concept of legendaries being these weird looking goofy ass "toy" weapons... so the rifle is... a literal boat. You shoot from a toy boat, and it makes misty ocean footsteps and plays ship bell noises when you draw it. Come on man.

At an early point in the expansion, it was a little less than a gen3 and it's a lot less now that some of the materials have dropped in price. If you buy up all the gemstones at the right time you can save a lot of money there, if you max out your refining station and just cap out on using t5 materials, that's almost all the homestead materials done, trophies shouldn't be an issue if you got scavenging protocols, all the janthir materials can be gathered in the overworld, it only takes as many essences as one armor piece, it's perfectly doable if you just sit down and do it.

So those bright blue orbs circling around the black orb are what you get when all 3 pve trinkets are turned on. The large blue orb with a castle inside is from Conflux, the wvw ring. The armor is envoy armor, legendary armor that's gated behind raids. That one's not for you though, you might want to stick with making obsidian armor instead.

If you wanted one, you had to assemble it yourself. The purpose of legendary weapons being tradable is to bait people into swiping for them. Them expanding that to trinkets would be a sign of desperation.
