The scene cuts to estelle dragging an unresisting joshua into the hanger and they escape as normal, the blade lord busy fixing the engines to keep the thing from crashing. Ultimately i think this is a more satisfying sequence. Not only do you get estelle being cool and more tension, but the early parts have some protoman joshua flair.

Rean/Valimar had to fight other mechas, while Van mostly fights some gnosis enchanted grunts or some magically transformed characters. I did like the fight against the AF. They should've made more grendels to rival Van from the beginning and rely less on the same formula where Van needs to be bailed out by Mare.
