Every piece of gear is locked in, every grind complete—except for one thing: the Gloves of the Damned from Grotesque Guardians (Echo). Those gloves are the last piece of the puzzle, but there’s a massive problem staring me in the face. My combat stats are… well, let’s call them “unique.” I’m sitting at 6 Melee, 0 Ranged, and 2 Magic masteries, which means my Ranged is practically nonexistent. And if you’ve ever fought the Grotesque Guardians, you know Ranged is kind of important for dealing with Dawn’s airborne phases. Right now, even wielding a shortbow feels like asking too much. So here I am, torn between grinding out Ranged levels (ugh) or trying to cheese the fight with Magic. Either way, those gloves feel both maddeningly close and impossibly far away—a classic OSRS moment if there ever was one.
