ResurgenceChad here, haven't played for about 2 months now. Is the game (both Warzoom and Black Slops) as dead as it looks to me? Even my few friends who kept playing after the MWIII integration have stopped playing now. It's actually ridiculous how Actishit and Raven Shitware managed to ruin the game with every integration. At this point, there's no use bringing Verdansk back.

I used to shit all over Slophammer for the entire MWIII lifecycle (and it's still just a glorified DLC + QOL update pack), but Warzoom was a lot more fun to play during their game than it is now. When I played about 20 rounds, won more than half of them, and still hadn't maxed out the XM4 (which was the only weapon I was using), I knew the game was done for and just stopped playing.

I also love BO6 maps because they embraced verticality and emphasized on risky positions. I remember MW19 fags making webms mocking CW for having no vertically and they were right except their idea for vertically is something as exposed as Derelict which is my least favorite map from the game. Yeah, salvage is fucking dumb, rarity is a weird mechanic. My ideal alternative upgrade mechanic would be each weapon having random challenges that when completed upgrade them in the match. I know the trial computers exist in Cold War, but I don't really like their implementation.

See, I actually really like the way cold war handles perks. You can have as many as you want, but past a certain point they become prohibitively expensive. It rewards people who can rack up the points with being able to goof off.

The maps and the story were pretty lame in hindsight, only Die Machine was great, a callback to the first zombies map while starting a new reboot with a different formula. CW was good because of how much they changed the gameplay mechanics and unified the systems across multiplayer and zombies. They went back to the arcade roots of killing zombies and having stuff to do on the side. The side easter eggs weren't the main hook like BO2-BO4 and that's why BO3 fans will get assblasted whenever you mention the new zombies since none of the maps require deep knowledge about the easter eggs.

Also the operators didn't say anything in zombies, unlike BO6 where someone as irrelevant as Niran has a lot to say in the mode.

on that note, I think BO6 is a good overhaul to CW except for the damage dropoff which felt like a poor response to the most popular criticism of new zombies.

To address pubs where one team absolutely annihilates the other they should try a feature where the losing team has a behemoth, something like a permanent mini drone tank (like the one they brought back from bo2), but only when the gap is really big, I think it would incentivize a lot of people to stay in the lobby

Some of the dailies are so fucking retarded it's insane. Many of them you complete in like 15 to 20 minutes max, others can take hours
Like for zombies, getting a "survive 25 rounds" or "kill 50 armored zombies" is insanely retarded when you don't have a liberty falls bank vault camp grind save prepared
And for mp, stuff like "get 10 scorestreak kills" or "kill 10 enemies scrambled by your equipment" can totally depend on luck of the draw.
Not to mention there are dailies that 2 months in just don't fucking track, like "have your trophy system intercept 10 pieces of equipment" or "kill 50 enemies with guns that have 5+ attachments" where you're just fucked if you get them and just can't get your dailies done that day period

I've concluded that It's average but the community is calling it the best new map? what am I missing exactly. In terms of story, it was a waste of time. It barely moved the story forward, Kraft being the adopted father of Richtofen was also a weird twist like yeah sure, I don't get how that would stop Weaver from skull fucking Richtofen, but whatever.

As for the easter egg itself, getting the swords and upgrading them is much easier than Origins and DE so that's a plus. But the astrology stuff does not have a payable solution, who do you think I am? I don't know basic algebra to solve Terminus and you expect me to have deep knowledge about Astrology? It'll be interesting to see that step in Directed mode, how are they going to convince noobs that it's an easy map to play.

Moving on to the gameplay, the swords aren't particularly useless, but they aren't something you can rely on without Melee Macchiato since their damage is melee and not splash like Shadows of Evil swords. I'll go and say they are the weakest wonder weapon so far, though to be fair, the Jet Gun is too good, so the competition is already settled. I don't need to elaborate on how tight the map is and how aggressive the zombies are in BO6, which makes traversing the map a living hell.
