Also him being inhabited by a beast kami is a clear parallel to the Horned Warriors and Dancing Lion.I think Hoarah Loux WAS a hornsent, and that's why he has horned children and horned Crucible Knights. But he transferred bodies as part of the ritual because Marika hates the hornsent. Basically an inverse of what happened with Miquella and Radahn, because Miquella wanted his Lord/yorishiro to be perceived as a savior to the oppressed crucible-derived peoples like the Hornsent.

The winged sword buffs, casting speed buffs, magic damage buffs, sorcery buffs, the carian staff.Tip: if you enchant your shield with scholar's shield and put an AoW on it, you can have an offhand strike OR parry. You dont even need the thrusting shield for it to be worth something. Just being able to bash an enemy with something before unloading the BONK OF HAIMA is enough. Lightweight shields are insanely strong with scholar's shield so you can actually lightroll while having the defense of the brass shield. You can tank entire combos from Rellana and barely take damage.Another Tip: Keep your spell list short to be able to switch between the ones you really need.
