The result is also somewhat inverted - while it was a big deal for Romin going forward, it was just a wake-up call to Rovian to go back to how she was-The descendant bit was pushed aside a little but she lost interest in the promise of the Future when her Present was ruined by Yuhi's sacrifice, especially when everyone tried their hardest to refute her actions, saying a predetermined road was one they refused to take-The Darkmen pushed the Dark Matter deck and gave the heroes more antagonists to play with that had personalities develop over time, especially since Yuamu and Zwijo weren't bouncing off of the good guys as much-Kinda irrelevant

The fact Kaizo was nowhere to be seen in the finale makes me wonder if fucker got written out of existence by the new future like Mobuko. Yuna is presumably redeemed and since Kaizo originally came from the drones that enforced rules which began with evil Yuna that might mean he went poof. Don`t forget that Metarion Ashurastar can destroy any face-down card on the opposing field and that Gaia has a fusion that can deal piercing damage and another that chooses between destroying a spell/trap or attacking directly, and I think you can already see how much of a bullshit OTK machine filled with monsters that are tough to beat this deck is.The triple fusion isn't always guaranteed, but a double fusion is almost guaranteed. There's also a HERO variant that summons Burst Wingman (why is this card even in Duel Links already? It literally released a set or two before the current OCG set), which effectively has 3100 ATK during either player's turn and also destroys spells/traps because fuck it, why not.

I don't know why you think that only what happened in the last episode mattered, but Yudias' hero's journey isn't about who he's going to get married to or even about the Mobuko army.

Like, there's still a bit of a power gap there and Tarasque isn't enough to fix it. Especially because not only do we still not have traps, but the few we had got hit too.

The monkey king and tower of mirrors actually features an enlightened buddhist devil god (like yudias) going through time mirrors, fighting demons, and travelling through different dimensions. And guess what, it also features him fighting his own son he had with princess iron fan(demon queen with wind powers). Dragon ball largely took from this. Don't act like I'm arguing from ignorance when I understand where yugioh takes its ideas from. Yugioh mostly takes from old myths and contemporary fantasy manga, anime, and movies. Yudias ending up as a warrior in the old japan was probably inspired by inuyasha, and it's easy to see that reflected in some of yudias' civilian design. Except it's weird because Inuyasha's romance is like half of that story, so go rush falls short of actually feeling like it. Yuga and Yuna's interactions are probably supposed to be similar to back to the future where the main character goes back in time and meets his mother, give or take a few generations. It's not crazy to think go rush ending may have been rewritten when comparing to relevant inspirations. And you could always compare to it previous yugioh anime and she how it's different.
