Nobody has any attachment to it and nobody has any incentive to try it out unless it's cream of the crop. Snap already has one of the best gameplay mechanics of any mobile ccg out there, and they know that. This is a big reason why Snap has pranced around the way it has for so long, while The Bazaar would otherwise have been poofed into a fine dust had it been more rigid in its structure.

how many s5 and s4 are you guys missing? for me it is 15 and 3 but most of them are either discard material (which i don't play) or mid cards like peni parker. the only big cards i am missing are antivenom, fenris, gladiator and hydra bob (which is in tomorrow spotlight). now what i realized is that for someone in a position like mine, where the cards i am missing are sort of "intentionally missing", the new system may actually reduce the agency i did have with the existing one. i don't know, maybe i am getting this wrong but i am definitely not going to open s5 packs when none of the cards available in the pack are of any interest for me. i should basically always go for the single card which, on average, will cost more than what i am spending right now.

This doesn't seem like much of an improvement from then.

This new system seems like it does the complete opposite of what it set out to do, which is help new players obtain cards faster.>new players like spotlights because it's likely to have 3 cards they don't own>older players who already own 90% of the cards only care about the newest card, so they would rather have more tokens than keys

I only missed Starbrand last season, and am sitting on 10 keys. So next week I'll pull because I don't have any of the cards, and then after that I'll open the Series 5 packs for Strange Supreme, Kahhori and Starbrand for 5k eachFrom there realistically I'll only ever miss new cards when I decide to skip. Pretty great system for me

>>521137745I will say it removes the “wag the dog” system of the spotlights in that you were tacitly encouraged to go for the weeks that had the most amount of new cards for you to gain with 2-4 keys regardless of your interest in those particular outright new cards of the season. So in theory, you just get what you want for the archetypes you like, and a typical collection track week will get you 3000 tokens where they key used to be on top of the 350 you get in daily log ins and the presumed 100 that’s still on the ladder.The biggest and most obvious problem is that the prices are still really big, and the more cards you skip, the more volatile the regular and even seasonal Series 5 and 4 Snap Packs become with the randomness of what you can pull.The extra goodies in each pack are rather underwhelming.And the Series 3 packs, like the random Series 3 pull, are pretty evil.
I'm starting to believe they put the good spotlights after the change just to taunt us.I'm kinda done with the game, 1 step forward, 1 step back.Take care guys o/

As New Players can theoretically get a Series 5 card every two weeks with the upcoming Snap Pack system, what first five cards should they prioritize first in your opinion to jumpstart their decks?For me it’s:Arishem (Good starter and sampler, though he may encourage bad habits)Red Guardian (Nice equalizer tech against even those further along)Thanos (compliments Zoo, Destroy, and Ongoing to an extent)Mockingbird (a good big body for beginner Zoo, Patriot, and Surfer)High Evolutionary (not as good as he used to be, but he has that wow factor of transforming effect less cards)Runners-Up:X-23 (for easy functional Destroy deck completion)Alioth (for the reckless newbies that put fat power out in the earlier turns)Agamotto (won’t be as unique in June, but his spells could give a new player immediate entertainment value)Scream (to access the debuff Move archetype albeit in an infant capacity)

The former would be better, as he introduces you to new cards and you can find out for yourself what you like, whilst High Evo has only a couple of directions that he can go and isn't as competitive anyway.Nico would be my third choice. She's very random but her effects make the game more interesting. You could slot her into any newbie deck and the power level would get a bump.Once upon a time I would have called Jeff the card that you can slot into any deck but he's not really relevant anyone. How things change.
