When you have exotic runes, you are careful with that shit because every switch is an expense but when you have legendary runes you can flip this shit around willy-nilly and try out the really weird shit to see why it's not meta to do.When I got mine, I already had legendary armor so it was just a minor improvement but for someone who doesn't, this has to be an absolute godsend. 10/10 legendary would recommend.

Good dragons discarded almost as soon as they appear. Bad dragons are looming off-screen and then quickly defeated as well. Their boss fights, besides EoD, are lame and unmemorable. Visuals are extremely monstrous, gotta have advanced permit clearance to find them sexy. All that makes it almost inevitable that we are lacking in art, even e6 one.

The dragon cycle has ended and nothing else is left to tie the rest of the Guild Wars franchise besides visiting locales that didn't make it into the dragon story. These "mini expansions" really are aimless living world updates with price tags. ArenaNet is clinging to the story as a way of adding content and desperately wrings at it hoping any amount of juice drips out into the cup.The Guild Wars 2 story is dead.It's done, it's dead, it's over.You could say these mini expansions are a way for them to sell major updates to us, but SOTO didn't give us anything worth buying, did it? Nothing that couldn't have been an update on a random Tuesday. Janthir Wilds blew its load with player housing. What else could they possibly have to sell on a mini expansion to justify the price? Elite specializations won't return, new weapons aren't really needed anymore to clear content or are guaranteed to be good enough to replace the builds we currently have. They could add combat abilities to another mount but is that really worth an expansion's price tag? The next expansion this year will be bone dry and I'm sure of that because they already postponed its release by 2 months, maybe even longer. I can also guarantee you that it'll be another boring human story or another boring and aimless Astral Ward shit story. It'll start with some forced concept of a story, then suddenly come to a halt with a 3+ month waiting period to see what happens next and the delivery to that waiting period will be shallow, underdeveloped, and rushed. Yeah, they butchered the Path of Fire story, but the mount system was a fantastic addition, so I didn’t complain too much. My guildies ended up buying me Secrets of the Obscure because they knew I wasn’t going to spend money on it, and guess what, I was right. I mean, really, they market it with an elden ring vibe and we end up feeding baby demons with fruit. These writers seriously need meds. I also got the Janthir Wilds expansion for free through that Alienware giveaway. Pretty sure they gave it away because barely anyone's buying the new expansion and they need to inflate the player count just to meet some internal quota.

for all these gripes with the story i'd still say its better than what is presented in ffxiv, and even at the story's absolute worst it's easily ignorable and only serves to be background noise that gives you an excuse to engage in the game's combat.if the story was a 100+ hour commitment that bars you from playing the game in any capacity with your friends or other players however, i'd understand the complaints a lot more.
