Like for example THelm benefits more from them since she already increases her charge damage with her burst so the charge damage multiplier from the doll has a greater effect I think and you need her treasure anyway. But MG dolls for example only give a bit of extra ammo so they're not as worth it to get. Usually SR/RL and SG/SMG are worth it for DPS units and ARs would only be worth it if you can reliably hit the core of a boss, which ARs usually can't but if the boss's core is large enough it works out like on Kraken for example if you're using SSakura.A big reason to get dolls though is the damage reduction they provide, which can be pretty important in SR.
