Amphoreus is a recreation of Nanook's birth.Nanook ascended after his homeworld was ravaged by Rubert I and the Swarm and I think what's happening in Amphoreus parallels it.The Black Tide is the stand in for the 1st Emperor War (data corruption = anti organic equation) and Nikador and the other Titan's madness the stand in for the Swarm Disaster (infinite armies of titankins = the infinite swarm). Akivili visited Nanook's world during the last years of the war against the Swarm, exactly like we arrive during the climax of the war against Nikador."Phainon" having suffered a lot from these events is gonna fail his trial as he's unable to let go his vengeance. We also see many times throughtout the story that he is quick to jump to violence to solve his issues, and unexpectedly acts more like a battle maniac than Mydei. All these fits the Destruction quite nicely.But why was this world even created? For the war against Nanook. It is a project between Fuli, who provided the memories, Nous, who calculated the simulation, and Mythus (the third path), here to make sure no ones interferes, be it from the inside (a lot of documents indicate records of the past being heavily alterated and erased) or the outside (explains no one knowing of Amphoreus and the SU spouting random bullshit when browsered for information).In the same way we used memories of the past to find a way to beat Nikador, they are trying to find a weakness in Nanook in THEIR past.That is why TB canonically looks like Phainon and are able to contain a stellaron.
