Even then you can get carried in Verity if you stay at the back of the room and have at least 1 person outside that can dissect. Iconoclast actually determines if they are good since you can't get carried with that title, you have to actually kill things on master but also do mechanics in every encounter and understand how the raid works. Pro tip: 2nd encounter master challenge is actually the hardest challenge on master imo. Verity isn't as hard as you think. Hardest triumph is definitely the Verity triumph though, every single person in the raid has to 100% understand exactly how verity works, and has to be able to know which statues to dunk in and quickly.

After the vast majority of my play time on Titan since I started playing last year, I tried out Gifted Conviction Hunter on Arc and I love it, same with Void Hunter using Gyrfalcon. I have to finish up getting the fragments on Strand for Hunter, want to try that next.

If I was a betting man I think the pathetic thing with Frontiers is they're gonna do this big lean into the whole choose-your-own difficulty modifier setup and the soft reset with gear tier as this big revolutionary thing to just re-run old content but now it's more annoying. Basically cheering on simple QOL shit as a big revolutionary expansion driving element and I think the reception will be lukewarm even for long sunk vets. My skepticism on the gear tier stuff is that Destiny doesn't really have a system of stat sticks so imagine if you did the most crushing difficulty mode of the newest thing giving out the best tier gear, it puts way more pressure on the quality of the gear + the state of the sandbox. Like imagine if there's a new raid and just to plug holes that weren't filled, the gear is like High Impact Scout, Precision Rocket Launcher, double shot grenade launcher, and a glaive, and you reach a situation where you're only running this dog shit new gear because it's tier 5 and it's whats capable of computing with the highest difficult shit, not necessarily because it's good. That's going to feel awful and I can see some rat fuck smug Datto video about how it's actually good and cool to play weapons you haven't before even when it fucking sucks. The whole thing just reeks of further Bungie trying to narrow efficacy of certain things to promote a very mono playstyle

I unironically think Marathon will be much better than Destiny.Destiny strong point is gunplay and movement . If Marathon is purely a run and gun type game then it has nothing to lose.
