Sky is better in the second and third for me, but the first is so fucking unbelievably boring other than a few sections that it takes until like the last few chapters to really hook me at all. Jesus Christ start us in hamel while it’s getting fucked not as junior bracers walking around doing nothing for 40h. Also Most of the music being painfully generic and boring midi like nes dragon quest tier. and its hard to be excited for the remake when most of this probably won’t be addressed other than making it 3d with kuro gameplay… Zero starts off with exploring the geofront and lloyd tries to kill himself, cold steel starts off with the first field study which has you hooked to learn more about erebonia and what’s going on, kuro 1 is probably the most climactic starting game of an arc and then there’s sky where you just wander around and she makes jokes about shovin the staff where the sun dont shine
I think Sky FC only really gets good around the attack on the base.

Kiseki investigating also isn't engaging, and Zeiss and Grancel are bogged down with side fluff like the hot springs detour and most of Grancel being going into the sewers and exploring the path outside the city instead of plot progression. Like Grancel in FC is terrible because it wastes your time so much with the fighting tournament and being a proto-Crossbell without the NPCs worth talking to aside from Anton and Ricky that by the time things start happening in a significant way you just want the game to be over. It's like a slightly better version of the CS2 situation with the Epilogue.
