Animation cost. Sync kills were easy for human vs human, because 1 set of animations covers everything reasonably cheaply. Eg Shogun 2's katana and spear sync kills were repurposed for FotS saber and bayonet units. With all the different skeletons in there's just too much work for not much gain. If memory serves most of the Warhammer 2 sync kills were just the animators doing it for free in their spare time.

It's a huge variety of skeletons and animations. For example for some reason elves have a different one than humans. But it's marginally different. If I recall right when I rigged it to a human model everything but the head worked because the helf heads combined certain bones or lacked certain bones. Whereas I could take a warhammer:TW animation for a human (not kislev, they're on the chaos skeleton/animation I think) and theoretically port it back to Rome 2.

I'd get killed by GW for doing so as it is against the rules (I am not kidding, it's expressedly verboten) but it's possible theoretically.

I imagine this is the case. Funny because End Times lore is basically a rewrite of the far more kino Storm of Chaos. But for the most part End Times is just shit and I want as little of it in TWW as possible. If we're going to do whack shit, I'd rather see them doing something absurd like release Vashnaar as a playable LL.

You set up all your troops around the main square. If you have a larger garrison, spill out into one of the flanking points and trying to hold that as well is an option. Depends on the geography. For most factions, you spaghetti string a unit or 2 along the walls to get towers to do some early damage, and then retreat when they get close. If they have fliers don't even bother.

The only way I could ever see Christians not getting exterminated in that period is if you made yourself a vassal to someone else and from there had to build legitimacy. Like, I'd still like there to be influence mechanics, but instead of it being religion based, the influence mechanics are all major clan based (which would distinguish majors from minors even more), and religion is a separate mechanic that's a sliding scale across a triangle between Buddhist/Catholic/Shinto. Hardcore Buddhist is Ikko Ikki, while Shinto-Buddhism and Kirishitan are in between.

Chorfs that get personally dishonored and feel ashamed do go through that, they serve in the infernal guard and once they do something impressive enough they're allowed to take off the mask and rejoin chorf society, or become a castellan. But also chorf society has a tendency to force people to join the infernal guard for things they didn't actually do, from just being related or close to someone who did dishonor themselves, to it just being a plot to get rid of a political rival, which is what happened to Drazhoath.

Normal Dawi who take the slayer oath can't be forced into it, they have to take it of their own volition (there's still societal pressure if you fuck up hard enough that other dwards start thinking you really should take the oath though, but most of the time it's the dwarf itself that chooses it and most who knew them are saddened about it).

I thought my campaign was cooked when Orion and Ikit teamed up to kick my ass out of Italy but I decided to stick it out and use raise dead to start over in Cathay. Through a series of very good luck I now have 3 major ports, two minor ports, and a very strong elf military ally who can actually defend himself. Ideally I'd have more ports by now, but those I do have are extremely defensible which isn't a terrible trade desu.

Once we get Cathay locked down I can hopefully let the delf hold things down here while I backdoor Lustria and make it the bloated cashcow that it is. Then, one day, I will return to the old world, reclaim Sartosa, and have my revenge.

no, because each point after 100 increases the chance of you rolling 100% non ap damage reduction; the reason why armor is kinda worthless is because of the fact that most, if not all, the high damage units have fair amount of ap damage thats not being negated, or has splash limits and it kills the models regardless because theyre eating 120 damage, its only really helpful against archer spam, where you dont have a shield to block a lot of the times

But at least she's something more than these gaggle of boring ass elves who do nothing and have no further identity than standing in one place flicking their tiny elf dicks to the thought of what an important and well paid job they have. Straight up would rather CA came up with some new OC elves.

I think the Khorne way of recruiting heroes at T2 and increasing their capacity at T3 is the way to go.

T3 recruitment and T4 capacity is far too slow.
You should be able to build the rough outline of a decent army in the first 15 turns, not wait for turn 30-40.

Skinks (and kroxigors in the role of their big dumb friends) do normal life, with trade and farming and even some measure of politics (so long as they never question the slann). It's the saurus and slann that can do the whole "standing still for decades" thing, and it's not actually that different from how reptiles irl can go lethargic for long periods of time and not eat or drink and barely even breathe, only in COOL FANTASY EXAGGERATION mode. Saurus actually remain alert during it, and they only do so when they actually have a duty to guard a place and if they're active then they also do normal life, and the slann are usually lethargic like that.

Yes, in case you didn't notice skink infantry and kroxigors have traits that make them more effective when fighting close to each other. Skinks' role in lizardman society is to be the crafters, the farmers, the traders, basically the civilians. Kroxigors are the heavy manual labour, which means they help them with construction, farming, etc. Saurus are the warriors, but they still have the skinks and kroxigors help because they can do shit the saurus can't.

Sofia is apparently divided into 3 teams now. Patch team, DLC team 1, and DLC team 2. Just like anon said. Some of the UK team members are offering support like the lead writer from UK is still working on the DLCs and Richard Alridge is still overseeing the DLCs despite being in UK.

So if what was said in Warhammer II when they said DLC teams were about 18-25 people each. They used to shuffle people around. That would add up because the patch team would be less than 10 people or less and the DLC teams might be between 15-25 people each.

The robot thing is a great big untrue stereotype, they're all (except most kroxigors) capable of thought and independent action. Skinks carry out normal lives, Kroxigors apart from Nakai are basically Lenny from Of Mice and Men: big dumb brutes that happily do what the little guys point them at. Sauruses have higher thought too, they just dont care about civilian shit for the most part.

Yeah I think that version of Ind would have been better than whatever we are likely to get now, too. Same with Grand Cathay.
GW were far less sensitive to any potential accusations of racism/bigotry back in the 80s and 90s, and as a result probably would have made something a lot more fun than any modern creation by people crippled by 'awareness' of things that might be considered to be 'Not A Good Look' in the Current Year.

Yin-Yin has no one around her capital. Moot is at least two turns away from the closest lord of either Drycha or Vlad. Boris Todbringer's closest enemy is Festus who is 2-3 turns away and lore rival Khazrak who he should be able to fight by turn 2.

Now of them have anyone to fight in turn 1. I consider overlap being able to attack another legendary lord by turn 1 which seems to be CA's logic as well.

Depends on what you are trying to do.
If you need your infantry to last long so that your lords or spells or thunderers can do the damage, give them shields. They are generally the tankiest.

If you want them to be offensive, you probably need some kind of armor piercing and that usually means Polearms or Great Weapons.

For example as Dwarves I don't think anyone ever uses the great weapon infantry. The killing is done by other stuff, you just want them to hold the line. But Khorne you can just go all in on the dual wield infantry.

Sword & Board for Chaos is all about slowly mulching the enemy infantry, Great Weapons are for flanking and charging, Halberds are for covering flanks and killing enemy monsters but yeah generally you want Sword & Shield. Although it should be noted that the strongest chaos infantry is Nurgle-aligned Chosen(Great Weapons), it may not be the best unit in the game but it is without a doubt the strongest Chaos infantry so if you're a minmaxfag and playing Archaon/Belakor/Festus there's really no better choice than Chosen of Nurgle.
It's honestly shocking how Kugath & Epidemius suck so bad when the Nurgle roster is one of the stronger ones in battle.

Thing is they didn't. The Queen and Crone DLC was disaster of SoC proportions and CA never fixed it. Both faction literally got 2 units. The Malus DLC got shafted in favor of rats and he didn't even get any of his companions and got straddled with retarded monster spawning mechanics that fits Rakarth not him. Rakarth and Lokhir got literally nothing compared to Imrik and his 5 original dragons. CA didn't even bother to make a new texture for the Hydra to make a Spellthirsters the easiest unit to implement. Saying DE are done is a huge lie and symptom of short memory or unironic CA dick sucking.

When CA revealed they were making a "make your own lord" faction for Chaos, I was extremely excited at the prospect of making my own Chaos Lord and customizing his gear. I was disappointed when it turned out to already be a demon prince, and one with a background set in stone. I wanted to get my own Mark of Chaos-style story going, but with a Thorgal of my own creation.

One of my enjoyable campaigns I played was as Har Ganeth, immediately dismissing Hellebron and then playing exclusively with a giga-buffed up Dreadfu with the Sword of Khaine. Her design, voice lines and her shockingly solid stats made her one of my favorite Legendary Lords, despite not actually being one.
Hellebron can get all old and wrinkle in her tower, Dreadfu is Khaine funniest clown now.
