For whatever reason once I was at the main menu I was fine. I just had to wait for the game to finish downloading.So their solution is to revert to an old version of the game, migrate their save, launch it, unequip the gear or change their hair and eyebrows.But if your last save was in the grand hub the old version doesn't have it... so it may be over for them unless they can save edit their data themselves.
