The actual reason is just that there were no voicelines before and now there are, but when you try to explain gameplay concessions and decisions and simple happenstance like that as actual lore, now it has to be reckoned with when it changes, now there are voicelines for some survivors. Could the devs ever be assed to figure out how to rebalance the game? No, not really. But I don't see people talk about it that much, despite the fact that it's probably the most important thing to point out. When the killer finds someone and then these guys are chasing the killer for an opportunity, half the team is not working on the objective.As a killer, I find this to be fucking embarrassing to play against, and when given a reasonable choice between survivors in a group that are equally viable and fair targets, I usually go for these players first.
