Two tanks and two supports or some 3-1 variation and all you need to do is fulfill the basic requirements of what your role and character does. It's actually really frustrating and depressing as someone who plays vanguards and strategists. No matter what plays I make, ultimately it never feels like it really goes beyond what is expected of the character and role to do. The only time this isn't the case is in full six man stacks that are communicating with each other, or in unorthodox team comps with too many people trying to be the main DPS
