Hello, finally got around to buying this game. I want to do a Ranni-ending playthrough as my first one with an INT-focused character but I wanna try out all the INT-related equipment, not just robes and staves but the dex/strength weapons that scale with INT and anything thematically related to sorcery like the carian knight set and weapons even the ones that don't scale much with INT. I've done it before and it just rushes me to "finish" my build because invading without full flasks, the warming stone recipe, every buyable status cure item, etc. etc. just punishes you over and over. Second, Seamless invasions just feel like what I expect out of invasions: 2-3 people playing through the game at a roughly equal level.I think vanilla is interesting if you're addicted to killing password phantoms and anti-twinks (which I was at one point), but for a more casual experience where you're not playing through half the game before you're "allowed" to invade seamless is better.

Fire and magic damage are relatively easy to pump early, thanks to flame, grant me strength, +% damage physick tears, and the raw INT on glintstone crowns combined with meteorite staff's S scaling.The issue with twinks if that you're just going to lose the war of attrition if you're not careful, even with good anti-twink options. Because so many of them rely on status effects (get flame, cleanse me from Liurnia) and have more healing resources than you, it completely shifts the risk:reward ratio for reckless aggression. You have to play cautious, yet if they get off rot on you once you're backed into a corner and they can and will out-trade you.
