The trailer reminded me of Destiny's trailers during Lightfall due to the aesthetic,s and the "it's new" effect will run off quickly after a week of playing. And I get that animations are reused a lot in game development, Bungie's not the only ones to do it, but c'mon. So much of it was glaringly obvious, you're supposed to be more subtle with that shit and make some new stuff to blend it in.

Oh my god I get it now and I'm just catching up on Skill Up, they littered the map with killy npc squads some that constantly circle in as reinforcements to act as buffers for actual pvp, that's gonna be their solution to ease people nervous into feeling like the game's accessible and getting more frustrated with NPCs than humans. You're probably way disincentivized to go full gank squad roving the map cause there'll be some annoying ass globs of npcs you gotta constantly break through and that of course can give you away and leave you open to being partied or you just waste more health or not have enough ammo to fight everything. The biggest thing I got from the whole developer livestream is that Bungie no longer wants to make NEW games, they just want to copy existing games and release them under their name. The developers kept talking about how they love roguelites and extraction shooters, and they want to share what they love, but why would anyone want to play BUNGIE'S extraction shooter? Watching the original vidoc for Marathon really shows how far the game fell after the mass firings they had in 2023. The entire art style looked different, and it is clear that while it was a cyberpunk futurism sort of look, it was much more coherent that what we got now.
