While I don't get the hate, I'm starting to get the dislike of interesting npcs, the followers and the quests are fantastic, but there's got to be a middle ground between Vanilla's "Npc with 4 total lines of dialogue" and being trapped listening to a 15 minute backstory whenever you say hi to someone without a vanilla voice. Call me a murderhobo but I really don't care that much if you don't have a quest for me.
